Tai Chi (Taijiquan) is an internal martial art from China which is exercised by smooth and harmonious movements in combination with breathing and intention, allowing the development of active relaxation, mental concentration, coordination and development of conscious and deep breathing. It is linked with the Taoist Yin/Yang philosophy, and its therapeutic applications, aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In classes is also practiced Chi Kung (Qigong), an ancient Chinese technique used to regulate the vital energy (Qi) through postures and movements (gong), carried out in coordination with conscious breathing, visualizations and concentration points and acupuncture channels or areas of the body.
The Taichi and Chi Kung are two forms of self-knowledge and control of our body, emotions and thoughts: moving meditation techniques.
